Jaw surgery
Some bites cannot be corrected by moving teeth alone. When the jaws themselves have to be repositioned, we plan the orthodontics around the operation and co-treat with a maxillofacial surgeon, before and after.
This is not a stand-alone treatment
Jaw surgery is not something this clinic offers on its own. It is planned as part of an orthodontic case, together with a maxillofacial surgeon, for the bites that need it.
How it works

If your case needs surgery, you hear it at the consultation, not halfway through treatment.

Orthodontics is planned around the operation, before and after, together with the maxillofacial surgeon.

The surgeon carries out the operation itself. This clinic plans and manages the orthodontic side of the case.
Timing
If that is your case, you will hear it at the consultation, not halfway through treatment. Timing after that is set jointly with the surgeon.
After the operation
- Recovery is directed by the surgical team.
- The orthodontic side of your plan resumes once the surgeon confirms you are ready.
What to avoid assuming
- A promise of surgery before your records are taken. Most bites are treated with braces, lingual braces or aligners alone.
- A description of the operation itself. That sits with the maxillofacial surgeon, not this clinic.
