What treatment looks like
The same three ways of straightening teeth are open to a teenager as to an adult. Records are taken at the first visit, a plan is agreed before anything starts, and after that most of the work happens between visits, with a short check-in every 4 to 8 weeks.

All three can work for a teenage case. Which one fits depends on the bite, not the age.
Lingual braces
The same fixed treatment, bonded behind the teeth instead, so nothing shows from the front.
Clear aligners
A series of trays, worn at least 22 hours a day and taken out to eat. Needs the discipline to keep them in.

What it costs in time
Most cases run 12 to 24 months, with a visit every 4 to 8 weeks that rarely takes long. We fit appointments around school hours where we can, and confirm every one on WhatsApp.

- Brushing after meals, around the brackets or under the aligners.
- Wearing elastics or aligners for the hours you are given, not just when it is convenient.
- Keeping the adjustment visits, even when nothing feels wrong.
